Idea
Our idea came from an activity we both enjoy, taking a walk at night. We want to reproduce that atmosphere, represent what is happening in the environment through sounds, and then hopefully bring special feelings to our listeners. We also want our work to have a "humanistic quality and can be seen as a periscope for social observation."
Here is a paragraph we wrote before we started:
“ We like taking a walk at night. In the city, there is always a place that brings you relaxation and joy, like an island of peace. You can walk alone, or with your family, your closest friends, your partner, or your pet. There are children running and laughing around, bicycles passing by your side. You sit down on a bench, take a deep breath, close your eyes. And you start to hear more.”
Process
After identified the topic, we started with planning out the storyline and listing the sounds that we wanted to include in our sound walk.
Then we built the model scene in Unity based on our storyline. We chose to use low-poly models to reduce the sense of reality.
